Washing Instructions for Premature Baby Clothes

The delicate skin of premature babies needs extra care. Follow these washing instructions to keep the clothing clean and soft:

• Use a mild detergent: Choose a detergent specifically for baby clothes, free from fragrances or other irritants.
• Avoid fabric softener: Fabric softeners may cause irritation to your baby’s sensitive skin.
• Low temperature: Wash clothes at a maximum of 30-40°C to prevent wear and shrinkage. For heavy stains, a 60°C wash cycle can be considered.
• Extra rinse cycle: If possible, use an extra rinse cycle to remove any detergent residue completely.
• Wash separately: Wash premature baby clothes separately from other laundry to avoid bacteria and dirt.
• Air drying: Preferably, let the clothes air dry. If using a dryer, set it to a low temperature to protect the fabric.
